Do you make blackout blinds and curtains? When would I need blackout blinds?

Don’t let the sunlight wake you up in the morning, or if you want to encourage your children to sleep longer in the mornings, order our curtains and blinds with blackout lining. So, whether you want sleep in late, or you work night shifts and need to sleep during the day, blackout curtains are the ideal option for you.

Blackout lining can be added to all our fabrics to make blinds and curtains. Blackout lining is a little stiffer than normal lining, but looks the same - it isn’t black, it is a soft off-white shade. Blackout lining also has thermal qualities, helping to prevent draughts and minimising the loss of heat, in the same way that thermal lining works.

Blackout blinds are an easy option for bedrooms. For Roman Blinds outside the recess, you have to be careful to allow the blind to overlap the wall sufficiently to block out the light (add at least 5cms each side and 5cm to the drop). All these can be made for you through our Made to Measure service; all you have to do is to tick a box during the ordering process.

All our fabrics are printed in the UK on a good weight of 100% Linen, and Linen Union, making them suitable for lampshades, curtains, blinds, cushions, and upholstery. We hold a good stock of all our fabrics ensuring delivery is usually within 3-5 working days subject to availability. The same team, who takes your order will roll, inspect and cut it, so accuracy and quality can be assured.
