Making Small changes to make a great impact

October is one of my busiest months with many customers focusing back to the inside of their houses now that gardens are being put to bed.

Updating rooms with smaller things such as cushions, quilts, headboards, lampshades, rugs and runners, will unfailingly enliven any interior needing a face lift without breaking the bank!

Simply the best cushions

We make a variety of different styles of Cushions especially for you, they are made to order, and are expertly sewn in our local workshop based in the Cotswolds, and are of course filled with the best duck feather pads. Once each unique cushion has been completed, it arrives back to us at the showroom, at which point we will contact you to organise delivery or collection. This will be within 8 weeks of paying for your order.

An abundance of choice

Choose from a square or rectangular shape with the following finishings: piped, buttoned, ties, 4cm Flange (like an ‘Oxford style’ border), pleated ends, or frilled all-round. You can mix and match cushion fabrics for a really unique look – how about a contrasting colour for the piping to help frame the design? Or go double sided so you can turn the cushion around when you fancy a change!

We are happy to help with any fabric choices or advice you need, please just phone us, or send an email. All of my crisp linens, warm tweeds and sumptuous velvets are suitable for our custom-made cushions; here are some examples.

Bolsters

We also have Bolsters! They come in two sizes, and have an option for either contrast piping, or contrast flat end.

Simply the warmest quilts

Add an extra layer of warmth to your bed during colder months with a beautiful bed Quilts adding colour and texture to your bedroom. Perfect for complementing bedroom curtains and bedroom blinds to transform a room; you’ll find our lovely reversible quilts can be used on beds, sofas and chairs and will last for years to come. Complete the look with a made to order bedroom beside lamp. They come with a piped edge, a flat border, or a flamboyant 8cm frill! The luxurious wadding means they are wonderfully warm for the Autumn and Winter, making you want to curl up with a good book.

If you have a spare room…

Most of the year the ‘spare room’ is left waiting for the moment to be purposeful once again.

December is a great time to spruce it up, a few finishing touches is all that it takes. Transforming what might now be a home office into a welcoming guest bedroom may appear to be a daunting task, but with a few simple changes it is possible to switch it into a room where guests can relax and unwind.

A well-made bed with a warming quilt and an array of plump, sumptuous cushions, will create an inviting look sure to please any visitor…they might well want to stay longer, be warned!
