Do you have shibori lampshade fabrics?

We have a Japanese, shibori inspired Collection, called the Artisan Collection. The fabrics within the collection contain simple geometric fabrics and Wall Coverings ranging from the subtle Pigeon grey, to the brighter Saffron yellow.

The original designs were created by folding, shaping and compressing fabrics by hand and then immersing them in a traditional indigo vat. You can never totally control the process and so the results are always unique and the designs are only revealed when the fabric is unwrapped. This is the true joy of Shibori.

Artisan's striking motifs have bold colourways of Indigo, Saffron and Kale, and are also multi-directional, all over prints. They make stunning lampshades, with a bold and modern look, suiting modern or contemporary houses in particular.

Each bespoke lampshade is beautifully made in our local workshops by professionals, and hand finished with great care and attention. Our makers use traditional methods and take real pride in what they do. With Made to Measure, there is no need to compromise; you can create a unique look with your choice of fabric and those important finishing touches that will complement and co-ordinate your home.

There are four shapes to choose from: Empire, Drum, Pleated, and Candle (always sold as a pair), along with several size options. You can choose a second fabric to line the lampshade; applicable to Drum Lampshades only.

You can buy our fabrics in 10cm increments, starting at 1 metre, and make your own lampshade. Alternatively, you can use our Made to Measure service and we will make one, especially for you.

Please ask for fabric samples and see the colours in your rooms. If you order a half metre returnable sample you can drape them over your existing shades, or just in situ to where the shade will go, and see how it looks. All our fabrics are printed in the UK on a good weight of 100% Linen, and Linen Union, making them suitable for lampshades, curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery. We hold a good stock of all our fabrics ensuring delivery is usually within 3-5 working days subject to availability. The same team, who takes your order will roll, inspect and cut it, so accuracy and quality can be assured.
