Made to Measure Roman Blinds
Roman Blind can be used for all bathroom windows. Roman blinds can give the room a gentle and soft feel, whilst offering extra warmth and insulation with the interlining option.
Choose your roman blinds from our Made to Measure service, we also produce furniture, cushions, and lampshades. You can measure your windows for blinds using the online guide; click here to go to the 'Help & More' section where you can find the 'Measuring Instructions'. Should you prefer a visual guide, here is a very helpful video giving you the step-by-step processes on how to measure.
Which of your fabrics should I choose for my bathroom roman blind?
Stripes such as the Stockholm Stripe, French Ticking, and Simple Ticking are all traditionally used in a bathroom.
Pretty Maids looks wonderful in bathrooms, the spots being very easy on the eye and the right scale for all sizes of bathroom.
Can I have a border on my Roman Blind?
You can choose to add a second fabric for an all-round border (left, right and bottom), or just the bottom only (this border will be clearly visible when the blind is drawn up). There is also a choice of standard lined, interlined, blackout, or lined in a second fabric.
Are roman blinds in bathrooms better inside or outside the recess?
Roman blinds outside the recess in your bathroom will reduce the amount of natural light that is blocked out because the blind will only cover the window when it is lowered. Inside the recess roman blinds typically cover the top of the window and so can make a room darker.
An outside the recess roman blind will also be able to be lowered in front of any ornaments or items stored on your window sills in your bathroom.
Inside the recess blinds in a bathroom can save you a little space and look just as good so it is really up to you which you prefer from a design asthetic.
It is up to you whether you want to install roman blinds inside or outside of the recess in your bathroom but we can help if you're stuck.

HOW TO MEASURE UP FOR YOUR ROMAN BLINDS
INSIDE A WINDOW RECESS
Width: Measure across the recess at several points and give the narrowest measurement minus 1cm for clearance so the blind will run freely (see E on the diagram)
Length: Measure from the top of the recess to the bottom (see E on the diagram)
OUTSIDE A WINDOW RECESS
Width: Measure the width of the recess and add at least 5cms on each side for overlapping (see F on the diagram)
Length: Measure from the required starting position above the window to the length you require, adding 5cms on the length
