Which of your fabrics do you think suit bedroom Roman Blinds?
All of our fabrics can be made into beautiful Roman Blinds for a bedroom. If you want a contemporary floral feel, choose fabrics such as Herbaceous Border Detail, Lazy Daisy, Cow Parsley, and Flora and Fauna.
For more masculine or boyish bedroom Roman Binds, choose Simple Ticking Detail, Life and Eternity Detail, By the Sea, or Wild and Free.
Maintenance – Once you have pulled a Roman Blind up, you sometimes have to handle the folds as they occasionally get caught on the strings and gather up, so as to avoid creasing you would manually neaten the folds. Roman blinds can be pulled up on the right or left hand side.
Roman Blind Pelmets – If you have your blind inside or outside a recess, you can add a smart pelmet to cover the top. They are pattern matched to the main blind and conceal the sides of the track for a neater appearance.
Borders - You can add a 5 cm contrasting bottom border, or an all-round border on the right, left, and bottom edge of the blind. Any of Vanessa's fabrics can be used for this, for example Gypsy Garland in Dove, with a bottom border in Stockholm Stripe - Dove, Winter, or Pretty Maids in Dove and Winter. Plain linen unions also make great borders for Roman Blinds.
Roman Blinds can be made for you through our Made to Measure service with fabrics printed in the UK on a good weight of 100% Linen and Linen Unions. We hold a good stock of all our fabrics.

HOW TO MEASURE UP FOR YOUR ROMAN BLINDS
INSIDE A WINDOW RECESS
Width: Measure across the recess at several points and give the narrowest measurement minus 1cm for clearance so the blind will run freely (see E on the diagram)
Length: Measure from the top of the recess to the bottom (see E on the diagram)
OUTSIDE A WINDOW RECESS
Width: Measure the width of the recess and add at least 5cms on each side for overlapping (see F on the diagram)
Length: Measure from the required starting position above the window to the length you require, adding 5cms on the length
