Made to Measure Roman Blinds
Eco-friendly Roman Blinds can offer the benefits of style and practically of a conventional roman blind but are made with fabrics and materials more sympathethic to the environment when compared with other types of roman blinds.
Here are our eco friendly roman blind options which can make a fantastic, eye-catching feature in any room.
All of our fabrics are as eco-friendly as possible: the 100% Linens are eco to grow requiring little water and no herbicides or insecticides.
We only buy organic cotton yarn which is woven with the linen to create our unique Linen Union; we believe we are the only company that uses organic cotton like this.
Over 25 years ago Vanessa was horrified to learn that nonorganic cotton is the world’s dirtiest crop to grow, because it relies on the heavy use of pesticides which are hazardous to human and animal health. Pesticide use has serious adverse effects on biodiversity and contaminates local water supplies.
Vanessa has lived in the Cotswolds for over 35 years, and is committed to working with local, specialist and highly skilled crafts people to make all of our bespoke products.
HOW TO MEASURE UP FOR YOUR ROMAN BLINDS
INSIDE A WINDOW RECESS
Width: Measure across the recess at several points and give the narrowest measurement minus 1cm for clearance so the blind will run freely (see E on the diagram)
Length: Measure from the top of the recess to the bottom (see E on the diagram)
OUTSIDE A WINDOW RECESS
Width: Measure the width of the recess and add at least 5cms on each side for overlapping (see F on the diagram)
Length: Measure from the required starting position above the window to the length you require, adding 5cms on the length
