What is English toile fabric?

I have designed a contemporary toile which is called For the Love of Rose. This depicts figures and landscapes on a natural cream linen background. This toile design comes in 4 beautiful colourways from the ever popular Clay and Damson, to the earthy Limestone and Charcoal, and the brighter Saffron yellow and Charcoal.
What inspired the Toile print fabric?
This romantic English toile fabric was inspired by Vanessa's daughter, Rose. It depicts a Bohemian couple who are living in a shepherd’s hut, making their way through their lives by working on the land. In another section of the design you can see a goat trying to reach up to eat the last green leaves on a tree. Linking into a simpler way of life, Vanessa's other daughter, Flora, also has a passion for permaculture, a project she introduced to Vanessa's garden! It all lends itself quite naturally to the lovely story and design of this beautiful fabric.
This toile print fabric is printed in the UK, sold by the metre, and can be bought online or through the Cirencester shop.
The fabrics that coordinate with this lovely toile are in the Bohemian Collection, so you can consider Pretty Maids, Gypsy Garland, and Stockholm Stripe. These designs were all conceived at the same time and sit next to each other very comfortably in any room, keeping the colours consistent and thought out.
Please ask for fabric samples and see the colours in your rooms. If you order a half metre returnable sample you can drape them over your existing blinds, or just in situ to where the blind will go, and see how it looks. All our fabrics are printed in the UK on a good weight of 100% Linen, and Linen Union, making them suitable for lampshades, curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery. We hold a good stock of all our fabrics ensuring delivery is usually within 3-5 working days subject to availability. The same team, who takes your order will roll, inspect and cut it, so accuracy and quality can be assured.
HOW TO MEASURE UP FOR YOUR ROMAN BLINDS
INSIDE A WINDOW RECESS
Width: Measure across the recess at several points and give the narrowest measurement minus 1cm for clearance so the blind will run freely (see E on the diagram)
Length: Measure from the top of the recess to the bottom (see E on the diagram)
OUTSIDE A WINDOW RECESS
Width: Measure the width of the recess and add at least 5cms on each side for overlapping (see F on the diagram)
Length: Measure from the required starting position above the window to the length you require, adding 5cms on the length
