How do I incorporate Harris Tweed into my room?

Our earthy range of Harris Tweed is woven exclusively for Vanessa on the small islands of Harris and Lewis. The soft and beautiful Tweeds are woven using 100% Scottish Wool. As with all wool products pilling can occur with upholstery, the bobbles however, can be removed using a fabric shaver. The colours are amazing, seeming alone colour until you look closely and see that they are made from many soft colours all reflecting the natural Hebridean landscape.

The Tweeds are a good weight, making them suitable for large blinds, quilts, and cushions. You can also upholster (light upholstery use only), with them but as with all 100% wool products they tend to pill and will fade if left sitting in direct sunlight.

Please ask for fabric samples and see the colours in your rooms. If you order a half metre returnable sample you can drape it over an existing chair or pin it to your present blinds and see how it looks.

Are your floor rugs made from UK wool?

Our rugs and stair runners are made from 100% British wool; they are woven in a family-run mill in Wales which has been weaving traditional contemporary carpet runners for over 100 years. They are beautiful, hardwearing and of the highest quality.

The gentle colours and simplicity of the hand woven Welsh rugs and runner designs mean these wool rugs and carpet runners are particularly versatile and fit equally well in a country, classic or contemporary settings. We have a small selection of rugs and runners each designed by Vanessa to work alongside her fabrics. Choose from the classic Stripe and Dash, the traditional Rainbow, the timeless Herringbone, or the modern Geometric.
